Good morning to the Sir, Madam, and my dear colleagues. My name is Prizam0170477 , I study in class XI I would like to speech today on the topic of pollution in India. As we have gathered here to celebrate this event, I have selected this special topic to open in front of you in the favor of humanity. My dear friends, as we all are well aware of the word pollution. I want to tell you that pollution is a slow and sweet poison which is disturbing us and our living very badly in all the aspects such as physically, mentally, socially, and intellectually. It is not so easy to stop it at once however, not so tough to prevent it gradually.

The main causes of the pollution are wastes from the chemical industries and factories pouring their wastes directly into the large water bodies. Such contaminants gets introduced into the natural environment and causing adverse change. Pollution can be man-made or natural however pollution from the natural sources is less harming than the man-made. Pollutants or components of the pollution get intermingled into the natural resources such as water, air, soil, etc. Pollution was started from the prehistoric times however currently it has been boom because of the deforestation, urbanization, technological advancement, and advanced life style.

People should understand the importance of environment they live in and respect the one given by God to live a simple life on the earth (the only known planet having life). Various types of pollution such as water pollution, soil or land pollution, air pollution, and sound or noise pollution, all are very harmful to the health of human beings and animals. People have been used to of technological advancement in their lives and forgot about all the existing problems because of that. Use of various fertilizers and other chemicals in the agriculture for many years in order to get better and healthy crops has created serious problem to the humanity.

Increasing number of vehicles in the cities is another main cause of air pollution. Diesel vehicles are more dangerous than the petrol vehicles as they emit more carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, both are very harmful to the health and atmosphere. My dear friends, it is very necessary for the common public to be aware of the bad effects of pollution and run in the direction against pollution to reduce its effects. We should plant more green plants in the surrounding areas and sides of the roads in order to maintain the natural equilibrium in the environment.

Pollution is affecting our lives so we have to take individual steps and do every possible things what we can do. We should not depend only on our government actions for some positive changes. Common people like us are the main factor to stop the spread of pollution.

Thank You All.

Explanation:

Pollution is one of the biggest challenges faced by the world today. All the countries are adopting more and more laws on pollution reduction. Still, governmental actions cannot guarantee the complete elimination of this problem. The main thing is to make all the ordinary people understand the importance of this issue and to make them respect the environment they live in.

The main types of pollution are water pollution, air pollution, soil pollution and sound pollution. All of them are harmful to people’s health. The latest technological advances have been often making people forget about the existing problems. Use of many different fertilizers and other chemicals in agriculture and other food industries can cause serious illnesses though, and we should never forget about that.

Increase in the number of vehicles in cities is one of the main reasons for air pollution. The engines emit carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide which are very harmful both for health and the atmosphere.

It is about time everyone woke up and worked as a single cohesive unit against the pollution. Being aware of its bad effects has to be more than enough to work on pollution reduction. Planting more and more green plants is a very good option to bring back the resource-use equilibrium. No matter what the governments do, the main action should come from people. This is the only way to stop the spread of pollution from destroying our home The theory of global warming, or “greenhouse effect” has been a popular bugaboo for many years and still is supported by the majority of scientific and political authorities all over the world. The main idea standing behind this term is that the average temperature over the globe gradually increases due to the anthropogenic reasons, most commonly considered to be the emission of “greenhouse gases” which unavoidably accompany industrial production.

Over the years, this notion has been used by leftish political parties and ecological organizations like Greenpeace to restrict the industry, impose taxes on large businesses and lobby other corresponding policies. However, during all this time there existed and still exists a constant minority of thinkers who consider the global warming to be a myth. Among them there are a number of scientists, some right-wing politicians and organizations, like libertarian Competitive Enterprise Institute. Their opinion has found recently major evidence which proves that many of the advocates of the global warming don’t believe in it themselves.

The scandal called Climategate (in analogy to Watergate scandal) happened after thousands of emails have been stolen from the databases of the University of East Anglia (one of the major providers of statistical information on climate change) and later published, showing that its employees have been for a long time falsifying their reports, preventing the scientists, whose opinion opposes theirs, from publishing their works, misinterpreting information, destroying e-mails on this topic and so on. The employees of the university offered explanations, but the creed of global warming has suffered a considerable blow.
