Man is a social animal. It is impossible to live alone. Human society tries its best to provide all possible comforts and amenities to enjoy life. Human beings too have an obligation towards society.
Especially students, owe a lot to the society. So social service is the best form of duty for them. The vitality and power which the students hold no other individual will have the same.
They do not need to worry about earning income and thus will be a great help for the society. The 80% of Indian population lives in villages and most of them are illiterate. They still perform the age-old customs and have not changed at all with times.
There is a need to propagate good value education to the elders of the society too. There are a lot of social evils still prevailing in our society. They can visit villages on vacations and promote better learning, education so that social evils can be removed from our society.
Students can also come together and work for NGO's during an epidemic in a state. It is a sad situation as these days most of the students love to out pubbing, visit countries out of India or only care about their mobile phones. They lead a dull life.
