Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a campaign launched by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi as a nationwide cleanliness campaign. It is implemented to fulfill the vision and mission of clean India a day. It was launched especially on the birth anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi as he was dreamed and very keen to make this country a clean country. He had tried for clean India in his time by motivating people through his campaigns and slogans however could not be true because of the partial involvement of the people of India.
But after years, Swachh Bharat Mission has again started by the government of India to make the dream of clean India come true in next five years till 150th birthday anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi. It was started in 2014 on 2nd of October on the 145th birth anniversary of the mahatma Gandhi. It is big challenge for all the citizens of India. It is only possible if each and every person living in India would understand this campaign their own responsibility and try to meet hands together to make it a successful mission. It is initiated and promoted by the famous Indian personalities to spread this mission as an awareness programme all through the India.
Friends as we all know that the FATER OF NATION and great person of india said that sanitatiom is more important than Independence. Today india is still developing country because of poverty, lack of education,lack of cleanliness and some other social issues.we need to eliminate all these bad issues.we need to elimate all these bad issues from the society which makes obstruction in the growth and develpment of our country today when many harmful diseases are spreading in each and every corner of the country and many peoples die day by day due to these harmful effects of diseases. To avoid these spreading of harmful diseases we have to take some steps. And I think that cleanliness drive is the best start to eliminate all these bad issues from society and to maintain cleanliess in india. As our new government has also taken various steps to maintain cleanliness and clean india campaign is one of them.
The abhiyan iwas launched by prime inister narendra modi on 2nd of October,2014 at rajghat. New delhi with an aim to make india clean,provide sanitation facilities to every family ,including toilets,village cleanliness , safe and adequate drinking water supply by 2nd October 2019.it will be a befitting tribute to the father of the nation on his 150th birth anivarsary. It is a significant that the PM himself is taking very proactive role in making the campaign by cleaning the street himself.
