Since the beginning of the outbreak, healthcare professionals have truly been selfless warriors, giving everything to uphold their job responsibilities, even at the cost of cutting themselves off from their families and loved ones. Although most doctors have experienced the gratification of healing patients and saving their lives, many battles have also been lost along the way with several doctors going to the extent of even sacrificing their own lives in the line of duty.

Doctors, nurses and many others in the healthcare sector have donned the role of a brave medical army fighting against coronavirus, standing strong with thermometers, stethoscopes and ventilators as their weapons.

As we observe Doctors Day on 1st July, in India, it is the ideal opportunity to extend our gratitude to all the doctors and physicians for their service round the clock. The sacrifices that they make every day for the safety and welfare of humanity is priceless and deserves our lifelong gratitude. We need to give the medical fraternity the respect and compassion that they truly deserve. There can be no greater tribute to healthcare workers than this. We must applaud the heroic efforts of courageous and inspiring doctors across the globe, who are working to save the lives of COVID-19 patients despite the high risk of infection.
