Water Conservation -

Water is one of the most important natural resources which is essential for the existence of life in our earth. Without water no life form will be able to sustain on earth. Water is never lost. It keeps cycling within its three states - solid, liquid and gas through a process named water cycle.

But fresh & clean water is a limited resource. We can use only fresh & clean water for almost all of our daily needs. We cannot use water from other souces for those purposes.

The process of using water efficiently to reduce or prevent the unnecessary usage of water is termed as water conservation.

As the population of the world is increasing, the demand for usable water is also increasing. We should therefore try our level best to do everything we possibly can for saving usable water.

We should use water wisely and cautiously. We should always be aware that no excess water is being used for any purpose; such as, we should not keep the tap open unnecessarily....Also whenever we see any open tap, we should close it immediately.

97% of the water of our earth is salt water. Rest 2% is blocked by glaciers and therefore we have only 1% left as usable water resource.

We should prevent water pollution which will help in water conservation. We should prevent the overuse of ground water because groundwater takes a very long time for its formation. By using modern irrigation methods we can also help in saving water. Water can also be conserved by the collection of rain water.
