Good morning respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends. As we are promoting health and fitness week, I have been handed over the opportunity to deliver the significance and relevance of yoga before you.
It is a privilege to speak over art which was discovered and mastered in India since ancient times.Workout trends come and go but what remains in trend forever is yoga. It not only improves our health but develops well-being. The skin radiates, and the body achieves flexibility-meditation with yoga results in a peaceful and relaxed mind.
Utthasana, Padmasana, Bhujhangasana and Sarvangasana are some of the asana’s mentioned in it. These help in sharpening minds and lets the brain utilize the intellect to the fullest.Yoga provides relief from the regular stressful routine and improves sleep. By following it regularly symptoms of insomnia and restlessness decreases.
It is beneficial especially to children as they gain focus and concentration, further building their power and making them academically strong.But, the development of technology and gadgets have impaired humanity by converting them into lethargic individuals. They are living in slumber and have forgotten the gift our ancestors have bestowed upon us.
To spread awareness, the International Yoga day is celebrated every year on 21st June worldwide. Even Our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi practices and promotes yoga on a larger scale. Therefore it is essential we incorporate yoga and practice it in our daily life.
I would like to end my speech by thanking our dear audience and guests for lending their valuable time and attending the program. Last but not the least thanking our management for arranging such an inspirational event.
