Good morning to one and all.
I am (your name) of (your class) of (your school)
Today I will speak on the topic social evils and how they are becoming hurdles for our country's development.
Social evils are the issues opposed by most people of the society. Most of us are having problems because of them. In ancient days, our ancestors have divided classes according to their people's occupation. It had four classes mainly Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Sudras. Sudras are the most suppressed people. The other three castes people don't even touch them. They were not allowed into the temples which shows that they had less respect in the society. These were the adverse effects. Instead of abolishing the entire caste system, the government had given reservation for these suppressed people. The reservation system has again brought problems. The second issue is child labor and child marriage. A child without education is a bird without wings. Without proper education, your child would face a lot of problem in this modern world. There is the right age to do everything. Make your children study until he is ready for the work. The minimum age to work is 14 years. Your children will get a job after completing their education. After earning a job, they'll help you with the circumstances you are facing. Don't marry your until he gets the right age and right meaning of it. The cause of these two problems is illiteracy and poor economic condition. Men should refuse to marry women who are younger than 18 years. Illiteracy is also one of the social issues. Educated people like us have to bring awareness to the illiterate people. We should even try to teach them. Poverty is a significant problem to be solved as quick as possible. The cause of poverty is illiteracy, caste system, and unemployment. Heat flows from hot body to a cold body.  Likewise the rich must help the poor. The government should training for the unemployed. They should also provide them with employment opportunities. Sanitation and uncleanliness is also a social evil. The reason is people's carelessness and laziness. Every person must strive to make our country clean. Gender inequality and low status for women had become familiar. The reason for both of these evils is the narrow mindset of society. The word 'men' came from women. The solution is not to forget your values. They are many other evils like alcoholism, superstitions, religious conflicts, dowry system and juvenile delinquency. All these evils are interconnected. They stop most of our future citizens. To deal with these social evils, we have to get the right education with values. The government has to work more efficiently and try to eradicate these problems.

Good morning everyone present here. I am going to express my views on ‘social evils are the hurdles for the development of the country’. Well, development and social evils have inverse relationship. The more the social evils, the less the development.

All social evils such as corruption, crime, injustice, discrimination, etc. stem from backwardness and lack of education. If a society or nation has to achieve developmental goals, it must create a sound infrastructure to spread quality education among people. In the absence of education, social evils flourish and ensnare more and more people in their nefarious trap.

A society that is riddled with social evils can’t afford freedom, security, safety, and growth-conducive environment to the youngsters. In the lack of healthy educational opportunity, the youngsters remain vulnerable to evil influences. Instead of working constructively to the national development, they become involved in anti-national activities related to terrorism, drug mafia, crimes, violence, drinking, smoking, gambling etc.

Our role is to promote an environment in which the children and the youngsters can grow into skillful, talented, educated, and valuable citizens of the country. The Government must provide enough educational, sports, and other healthy recreational facilities for the people. There should be plenty of quality schools, colleges, universities, sports stadiums, and libraries to positively engage the youngsters.

The people should also aim at providing a healthy environment for the youth. The wise and elderly people should keep a close watch on the youngsters and should ensure providing wholesome environment and infrastructure for the children and youngsters.

In conclusion it can be said the best way to keep social evils at bay is to keep people, especially the youngsters is to keep them creatively busy in interesting, and character building activities and competitions. As elders it is our duty to provide a healthy environment to our children who are the future of the world.
