Also, India is famous for its spirituality, Yoga, and martial arts. So many pilgrims and devotees come every year to the country to see the famous religious places and other world heritage sites in the country. The hospitality and tradition of the Indian people are very well admired by everyone around the world.

I am proud of my nation because of the peace in the country. We have so many religions, castes, languages, and cultures in the country but everyone is treated equally. We believe in ‘unity in diversity’.

After independence in 1957, India has risen to become a great economic power in the world. India has to be cherished as one of the oldest civilization of the world. It has a rich and glorious history. The rivers, valleys, fertile plains, and mountains of the country add beauty and resources to it.

Today, India is a country of diversity having so many languages, religions, traditions, and cultures. It is also rich in natural resources and natural beauty. There are snow covered mountains, perennial rivers, grassland, green valleys, backwaters, and medicinal-plant filled hills. The Indian culture and tradition is guarding the country’s valuable culture. I am proud of our rich cultural heritage. India also has so many historical buildings, heritage sites, monuments and natural sceneries. Taj Mahal is one of the great monuments in India which is regarded as ‘world wonder’. Our Kashmir is the heaven on the earth. You can see various temples, mosques, churches, and Gurudwaras across the country, but still, all people live in peace.

Our national animal is the tiger. Our national bird is the peacock. Our national flower is the lotus. Our national fruit is mango. Our national sport is Hockey. We have a tricolor flag symbolizing purity, peace, and fertility. Our national anthem is “Jana Gana Mana” and our national song is “Vande Mataram”.
