Sperm:

they tiny dart-like male gametes each of which has three parts-head, middle piece and long tail. Head contains genetic material or nucleus and a cap-like acrosome(for penetrating the egg). The tail helps the sperm to move towards the female gamete or egg. The middle piece provides energy for this movement.

Ovum:

A mature female reproductive cell, especially of a human or other animal, which can divide to give rise to an embryo usually only after fertilization by a male cell.
