The secretion of the latter is alkaline. Since this secretion is added at the time of ejaculation, therefore the seminal fluid ejaculated in the vagina is alkaline. 
Otherwise the sperms are stored in the seminal vesicle and are present in the acidic medium because the pro static secretion in which they are lying is acidic.
