volume of cylinder(v)=

$\pi {r}^{2} h$

volume of cone(a)=

$\frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2} h$

ratio of their respective volumes are=

$\frac{v}{a} = \frac{\pi {r}^{2}h }{ \frac{1}{3}\pi {r}^{2} h } = \frac{1}{ \frac{1}{3} } = \frac{3}{1}$

Therefore,

ratio=v:a=3:1
