Hi friend!!

Spherical mirrors have had a great story behind them!
So, how did the concept of mirros come up in the minds of the primitive people?
Well, they must have been amazed by looking at their own reflections in the ponds and slowly the idea got developed into the making of mirrors!
With the advancement in technology people began makind different types of mirrors and lenses to suit their needs and interests!
A Spherical mirror is basically a surface cut out from the sphere..In other words, just imagine that a ball broke into two and each half is a part of the sphere!
There are two types of spherical mirrors: concave, and convex. Ibn al haytham and Ibn sahl were the geniuses who discovered them!! So, all the spherical mirrors that we see today won't have existed had it not been for them; the credit goes to them!!
NOTE: “All the reflected rays of a mirror converge or diverge and meet at a point known as focus and the distance between focus and pole of mirror is known as focal point of mirror.
Many books have been written on optics and mirrors too.

SUGGESTIONS: Refer to The Book of the Mirror: An Interdisciplinary Collection exploring the Cultural Story of the Mirror

This is a good one!!
Egyptians have also had many contributions in this regard. The invention of concave and convex mirrors led to many changes and have become a part of our life !!

HOPE THAT HELPS!
