Step-by-step explanation:

x {}^{2}  - 4x + 0 = 0

splitting the middle term.

x {}^{2}  - 4x + 0x + 0 = 0

where

x { \times 0 = 0}^{2}

and

 - 4x \times 0x = 0

and

 - 4x + 0x =  - 4x

Therefore

x {}^{2}  - 4x + 0x + 0 = 0

x(x - 4) + 0(x - 4) = 0

because

0x + 0 = 0(x - 4)

so,

(x - 4)( x + 0) = 0

x = 0

x = 4

answer x= 0 and x= 4.
