area of rectangle =120*0.5
area of square piece =25*25
let the no. of squares contained=n
120*0.5=n*25*25
find n and approximate it to a natural number

No square sheet can be cut from the rectangular sheet.

• Area of rectangle = breadth * length

• Area of square = side * side

• Given ,

side of square = 25 cm

length of rectangle = 120 cm

breadth of rectangle = 0.5 cm

then ,  

area of the square = 625 square cm

area of the rectangle = 120 * 0.5

                                      = 60 square cm

• As the area of square sheet is more then the given rectangular sheet , no square can be cut from the rectangular paper sheet.
