12 men complete work in 18 days
productivity of 12 men in one day : 1/18
productivity of 1 man in one day : 1/18 * 1/12 = 1/216
12 men worked 6 days : amount of work done: 1/18 * 6 = 1/3
Amount of work remaining: 1 - 1/3 = 2/3
4 men joined them.
productivity of 16 men in one day : 16 * 1 / 216 = 2 / 27
16 men will finish the remaining work in: remaining work / productivity
= (2/3) / (2/27) = 2 * 27 / (3*2) = 9 days
productivity of 12 men in one day : 1/18
