SSC Test Questions

Pipe A can fill a tank in 20 minutes and Pipe B in 30 mins and Pipe C can empty the same in 40 mins.If all of them work together, find the time taken to fill the tank?

A fills at 1 tank per 20 minutes or 0.05 tank per minute 
B fills at 1 tank per 30 minutes or 0.0333 tank per minute 
C fills at –1 tank per 40 minutes or –0.025 tank per min 

add the three up to get 0.05833 tank/min or 17.1 minutes per tank.
