Answer:

initial speed (u) = 0 (as it started from rest)

final speed (v) = 4m/s

time (t) = 2 sec

Now, v = u + at

(One of the equation of motion)

=> 4 = 0 + a (2)

=> a = 4/2 = 2m/s^2

Answer:

The acceleration of the body is 2 m/s².

Explanation:

The body is starting from rest. So its initial velocity, u = 0 m/s

The final velocity of the body is given as v = 4 m/s

The time required to attain this change in velocity, t = 2 s

The acceleration of the body can be found using the first equation of motion.

   v = u + at

⇒ a = (v - u) / t

   a = (4 - 0) / 2

   a = 2 m/s²

So the acceleration of the body is 2 m/s².
