1..Compound is formed from its constutuent elements As a result of Chemical Reaction.
** A mixtures is obtained fron its component as a regular of physical Change.

2.. A compound is Always homogeneous in nature.
** A mixture can be homogeneous As well as heterogeneous.

Air is a mixtures Not a compound becouse Air is a mixtures of nitrogen ,Oxygen, Carbon dioxide, water vapour, etc. in Any proportion.

It is obtained by physical combination of either elements or compounds or substance

The composition of elements in the mixture  is not fixed 

Its constituents can be separate easily by physical methods 


Compound :

It can be obtained by chemical combination of two elements 

the composition of elements present in compound Is fixed 

The constituents present in the compound can be separated only by chemical methods
