state a difference between tributaries and distributaries

Tributary is a stream flow in to the large stream/river.And increase the water volume of the main river. Distributary is a strean /river which flows away from a large river.It decreases the volume of water of the main river

Tributaries are the rivers that gives support to the main river Distributors are the channels which are divided when river is forming deltas.
