Only through reforestation or replantation.
There is no other mean of substitution for reforestation; we must balance the nature by planting or replenishing forests and thereby increase forest area. Forest is a natural habitat of wide variety of animals and plants.
Trees take the carbon dioxide that we exhale and give us the oxygen we need for respiration. If there are fewer trees, there would be a build-up of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere leads to global warming.
It will not only improve the water cycle but also the gives many products for our livelihood and survival.
