1st law

The mass of the substance deposited at cathode on passing the electric current through electrolytic solution is proportional to charge passing through it.

2nd law

For a given amount of current passed the mass of different elements deposited on cathode is proportional to their chemical. Chemical equivalent of any atom is the ratio of atomic mass and its valency.
