When factories manufacture products the wastes from the products are dumped into rivers and lakes which increases pollution.

2) Uses of fertilisers can cause water pollution.

This is because when fertilizers are used and it rains they have washed away into the water.

3) Sewage or drainage leaks.

If there are leaks in the drainage system. Then it may cause human waste to pollute the water.

4) Humans.

Many humans tend to dump their garbage in water that causes pollution.
