It I is the current flowing through a conductor and V is the potential difference acrose its ends, then according to Ohm's law I = V V = I V = RI This law is obeyed when the physical conditions of the conductor remains same.

According to Ohm's law,

Current flowing in a conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference applied across to its ends at constant temperature & physical conditions.

So, According to the definition

V ∝ I

V/I = constant

Put the constant as “r” which indicates the resistance of the conductor.

R = V/I

V = IR

Where

I = current flowing in the conductor

V = potential difference applied across the conductor

R = resistance of the conductor

Unit of Resistance is called omega (Ω)
