We can walk on the road and floor due to friction. Also, the vehicles run on the road due to friction between their tyres and road. We slip and the vehicles skid in absence of friction. Thus, friction can cause the motion in these situations.

Walking on the ground is a n example of friction where waling is the motion and the ground is the surface on which the motion is being applied.By grip it also enables the vehicles to move forward.A sportsman can run around the field wearing spiked shoes because of friction.
