As per the law of conservation of momentum,when no external unbalanced force is acting on the system total momentum of system remain conserved.

During collision ball A exert an action force Fab on wball B as a result of which its Momentum changes from m2u2 toM2V2 if T be the time of Collision, then according to Newton's second law of motion, force Fab is equal to the rate of change of momentum of B,i.e,

Fab=m2(v2-u2)/t. .......(i)

During collision, as per Newton's third law of motion the ball B exerts a reaction force Fab=-Fab on ball A, as a result of which, its momentum changes from m1u1 to m1v1.

As before,we can write,

Fba=-Fab=m1(v1-u1)/t. .....(ii)

On adding (i) and (ii),we get,

0=m2(v2-u2)/t+m1(v1-u1)/t

m2v2+m1v1=m2u2+m1u1

Thus,total momentum of the balls remains conserved during their collision.
