The main components of blood are:

Red Blood cells-These cells contain haemoglobin and transport oxygen.

White Blood cells- These cells protect the body from infections.

Platelets- They help in blood clotting

Plasma- It transports food, carbon dioxide and nitrogenous wastes in dissolved form.
