Aristotle’s fallacy is basically that an external force is required to keep a body in uniform motion. He came to this conclusion by making observations from practical experiences without knowing the actual reason behind this phenomenon i.e.

It is the frictional force between and the body and the surface that opposes motion and to overcome this frictional force,  we need to apply some external force greater than this frictional force.
