According to 'A Horse and Two Goats', a typical Indian women who took up the duties and responsibilities of her household. Women had to prepare and pack food for their husband. Though they are noy given importance, men cannot live without them. They used to take occasional jobs at the Big House to earn money. As seen in the case of Muni's wife, she is said to be a hardworking and honest women to whom poverty had not worn down. She worked hard to earn money and satisfy the needs of Muni. She is honest as she was not delighted on seeing the hundred rupee note in Muni's hand, but accuses him of stealing. During the time of Muni and his wife, child marriage was prevelant as during the day of their wedding, Muni was said to be ten and his wife was eight.

When Muni couldn't get the ingredients for the curry on credit from the shopkeeper, he said her to sell the drumsticks for the evening meal. Muni's gradual decline in prosperity and reputation, it was Muni's wife who worked outside their home to ensure their survival. Muni is not seen as a typical Indian man as when he asks the ingredients from the shopkeeper on credit. At the time, instead of giving the reason of an fictional son, he gives the reason of an imaginative daughter so that he could get those ingredients on credit from the shopkeeper.

As in this story the muni's wife is very hardworking she never become hopeless because of poverty . she never become greedy when she saw 100 rupees in the hand of the Muni . acutally Muni and his wife got married when they are child , Muni was 10 years old and his wife was 8 years . they are so young that they don't even know about marriage.

Muni never work hard he always want to seal when shopkeeper say no to gave on curry on credit then Muni say her to seal the drumstick .the Muni's wife is the only only one who work hard for their family and fullfill the needs of Muni . she is very hardworking women.
