Acceleration-
The rate of change of velocity is called acceleration.
acceleration=final velocity-initial velocity/time
a=v-u/t
Retardation-
When velocity of a body decreases with time, it is said negative acceleration and negative acceleration is called retardation.

1.acceleration is the positive rate change of velocity
2.here the final velocity us greater then the initial velocity.
1.but retardation is the negative rate of change of velocity
2.in this the final velocity is lesser than the initial velocity
