Kharif and Rabi are the two cropping patterns which are adopted inmany Asian countries, depending upon the monsoon.On the other hand,Rabi crops are grown in winter, i.e. sown when monsoon ends and harvested before the advent of the summer season.

1. In kharif season crops are cultivated in October/November. Whereas in rabi season crops are cultivated in June/July.

2. In kharif season crops are harvested in March/April. Whereas in Rabi season crops are harvested in September/October.

3. Kharif season means the season which is at the beggining of monsoon season. Whereas rabi season means the winter season.

4. Kharif crops are grown in kharif season i.e. crops like rice (paddy), maize etc. Whereas rabi crops are grown in rabi season i.e. crops like wheat, pea etc.
