Plant Cell:

  • they have an extra protective layer outside the cell membrane called Cell Wall.
  • They have a large vacuole in the center.
  • Their nucleus is pushed on the side of the vacuole.
  • The plant cell are rectangular in shape.
  • It also contains a plastid called chloroplast which contains chlorophyll.

Animal Cell:

  • They don't have an extra protective layer.
  • They don't have a vacuole, if present, it is very small.
  • They have nucleus in the center.
  • They cannot make their own food.
  • They have 3 main parts: Nucleus, Cytoplasm and Cell membrane.
