Answer:

HENRY`S LAW states about the quantitative effect of pressure on the solubility of gases.the statement is:The solubility of a gas at a given temperature is directly proportional to the pressure at which it is dissolved.

xB (mole fraction of the gas) proportional to 'p' where p means the partial pressure of the gasin equilibrium with the solution.

p=xB *KH. this kH is proportionality constant. or can also be called as henry`s law constant.

SIGNIFICANT OF kH:KH value is diff for diff solvent used.if temp is increased then it will also increase.it helps us to calculate the solubility of the gas at that particular temp.

effect of temp:as the temp is increased KH  value increases but solubility decreases in a liquid.
