hess law : the total heat change in a reaction is same whether the chemical reaction takes place in one single step or several steps

for example :-

a)c+O2-------->co2;∆H=-393.52J

b)c+1/2o2-------->co;∆H1=-110.5J

c)CO+1/2O2------>co2;∆H2=-283.02kJ

in this reaction ∆H=∆H1+∆H2

I hope this will help u ;)
