State how force is different from thrust.
give the mathematical form that relates pressure and thrust.
Which will exert more pressure 100 kg mass on area of 100 square centimetre or 50 gram of mass on 25 square centimetre? (g=10ms-2)

force is the push or pull of an abject while thrust is the force acting perpendicular to a surface.
pressure= thrust/ area
1. thrust (force) = mass× acceleration due to gravity
= 100×10
= 1000N
area= 100cm^2
=1 m^2
pressure= thrust/ area
= 1000N/1m^2
=1000 N / m^2
2. mass =50g = 0.5kg
thrust = 0.5×10
=5 N
area= 25cm^2
=0.25m^2
pressure= 5N/0.25m^2
=20 N / m^2
so 100 Newton on 100 cm ^2 acts more pressure.
hope it helps..
