How beavers fell trees:

• In order to fell a tree, the beaver worry around it, cutting out chips in a deep groove.
• Beavers that form dams cut down trees more frequently than bank beavers for the reason that they need the timber to build their dams.
• However, a bank beaver cut down many trees as well as tree barks is a large part of their diet.
