1st a body moving in a particular direction would continue to move in the same direction with the same velocity until a force acts on it and a body at rest will continue to stay at rest until a external force acts on it

2) f=ma force equals to mass ×accerlation. Force is equal to the change in momentum per change in time. For a constant mass, force equals mass times acceleration.
