Answer:

Explanation:Newton's universal law of Gravitation states that gravitational force is directly proportional to the product of masses of two objects and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between two objects

Mathematical expression is: F=G(m1m2)/(R^2)

Newton's universal law of gravitation:-

This law states that every body in this universe attracts every other body with a force which is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional of the force along the line joining the centres of two bodies.

As shown in the attachment above, consider two bodies A and B of masses m1 and m2 respectively. Let r be the distance between their centres. If F is the force with which the two bodies attract each other, then according to the law of gravitation,

</em><em>F</em><em>\:  \alpha  \: m1m2

and

</em><em>F</em><em>\:  \alpha  \:  \frac{1}{r^{2} }

Combining the two factors, we get,

</em><em>F</em><em>\:  \alpha  \: \frac{m1m2}{r^{2} }

or

</em><em>F</em><em>=  \: </em><em>G</em><em>\frac{m1m2}{r^{2} }

where G is a proportionality constant, called universal gravitational constant.

Hope it helps..:-)
