Potential difference

The amount of work done in bringing a unit positive test charge from one point to another.

Its S.I unit is volt or V

Resistance

Resistance is the obstruction offered in the path of current.

Its S.I unit is Ohmega or Ohm symbol used to represent it is R.

OHM'S LAW

Ohm's law states that current flowing in a conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference applied across its ends provided that the physical conditions and temperature is same for the conductor.

Since, its states that potential difference is directly proportional so,

\huge \boxed{I \propto V}

When we remove proportionality sign we put an constant variable,let it be R which is resistance as resistance is always constant for a conductor  provided temperature and physical conditions remains same.So,

\huge \boxed{IR = V}
