Prudential reason:-

The prudential reason for power sharing reduces the possibility of conflict between the social groups. Social conflicts often lead to violence and political instability. Hence to reduce the political instability power-sharing is very important. Example:- Reserved constituencies for minorities and women in assemblies and Parliament is the best example of prudential reason of power-sharing in India.

Moral Reason:-

The moral reason of power-sharing is the very spirit of democracy. The ones who are affected by the exercise of democratic rule and have to live with it's effects are shared with the democratic powers. The people here have the right to be consulted on how they are to be governed. Example:- Decentralisation if power in india is the best example of moral reason of power sharing in India.
