Reasons for need for waste management -
1. It can pollute the river water which is consumed by people for different purposes.
2. The foul smell of waste lying here and there can cause many diseases and grow irritation.
3. Wastes such as plastic can be consumed by animals which can be fatal for them.
4. Flies sit on open lying waste and then sit on our food making it toxic.
5. The burning of several wastes releases harmful gases so they should be disposed properly.

The reasons are -

★waste spoils landscapes
★waste accumulation serves as a breeding ground for many flies mosquitoes rodents and pet animals etc.
★waste gives out a foul smell
★waste accumulation causes serious health hazards like cholera dysentery diarrhoea malaria etc
★waste deteriorates the natural quality of air water land leading to air water and land pollution
★waste contributes to global warming. 
★waste affects aquatic animals and plants too.

Hence there is a need of waste management without delay.
