  • Both are made of glass and consist of a long narrow tube made up of glass.
  • Both of them have a bulb at one end.
  • Both the meters give readings with the mercury that is inside the thermometer.

Difference between clinical thermometer and laboratory thermometer-

1. Clinical thermometer is the range of temperature is low whereas Laboratory thermometer is the range of temperature is high

2. clinical thermometer has a kink(constriction) in it whereas Laboratory thermometer has no kink in it
