Answer:

Hello buddy..!!

Step-by-step explanation:

Thales theorem- if a line drawn parallel to one side of a traingle to intersect the other two sides in distinct points. The other two sides are divided in the same ratio.

given-DEllAB

to prove-AD/DB=AC/EC

construction-Draw EN pependicular to AD and DM perpendicular to AC.

join DC and BE

proof-as we know that

ar of traingle=1/2×b×h

so,ar of traingle ADE=1/2×AD×EN

smilarly, ar of traingle BDE=1/2×DB×EN

ar traingle ADE by ar of traingle BDE=1/2×AD×EN by 1/2×DB×DM........1

so,ar of traingle ADE=1/2×AE×DM

ar of traingle DEC=1/2×EC×DM

ar of traingle AED by ar of traingle DEC=1/2×AE×DM by 1/2×EC×DM........2

from eq 1 and 2

ar of traingle ADE by ar of traingle DBE=ar of traingle AED by ar of traingle DEC

so AD/AE=AE/EC

hope it will help u ✌️
