inter cropping will reduce wind erosion and crop rotation where leguminous crops are planted in rotation will help in nitrogen fixation

it also increase soil fertility, whereas crop rotation prevent soil deplition , increase soil fertility and reduced soil erosion. both these mathod reduce the need of fertilizer. it also help in weed control and growth of pathogens.
