Given :

  • AP :- 3/2, 1/2, -1/2, -3/2

To find :

  • Common difference ( d)

Formula used :

  • d = b-a

where :-

  • d = Common difference
  • b = second term
  • a = first term

Solution :

In the given AP :- 3/2, 1/2, -1/2, -3/2

a = 3/2

b = 1/2

Now to find common difference put a = 3/2 and b = 1/2 in the formula : d = b-a

⟹ d = b-a

⟹ d = 1/2 - (3/2)

⟹ d = 1/2 -3/2

LCM = 2

⟹ d = (1-3)/2

⟹ d = -2/2

⟹ d = -1

Answer :

  • Common difference ( d) = - 1
