Conditions Required for a shadow to form are:-

  • There should be a source of light.
  • An opaque object.
  • A screen.
  • The opaque object is placed between the source of light and the screen.

Extra Information:-

\purple\implies Shadow: When light fall son an opaque object, light is obstructed and a dark patch on a screen kept behind is called shadow.

This is because light propagates in straight line. If distance between object and screen is less, the shadow will be (umbra) dark and smaller.

If the distance is increased shadow will be dim and larger.

Hope it helps :)

Answer:

To form a shadow we need a source of light, an opaque object and a screen where we can see. the shadow. When the rays of light fall on the opaque object the we can see the shadow of that object on the screen. If the the source of light is far away from the object and close to the screen then the size of the shadow formed will be small whereas if the source of light is close to the object and far away from the screen then the size of the shadow formed will be big.

I HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU!!!!
