Fundamental rights are rights and freedoms guaranteed by constitutions of some countries of the world to their citizens. These rights have a legal sanction and are enforceable in a court of law.
The Fundamental Duties of citizens were added to the Constitution by the 42nd Amendment in 1976.A fundamental right exists by virtue of the fact that you are a human being whereas a fundamental duty too exists as a responsibility on you as a human being.
Hence the primary difference between fundamental right and fundamental duty is that fundamental right is based on privilege granted to you whereas fundamental duty is based on accountability.
There are much difference between fundamental rights and fundamental duties.
1. Fundamental rights are justiciable while fundamental duties are non-justiciable.
2. Objectives- Fundamental rights are important for the development of the citizens while fundamental duties make them responsible for the betterment of the nation.
3. Nature- Every citizen of India has the right to use and exercise their Fundamental rights while on the other side fundamental duties are the responsibilities of the citizens.
4. Implementation- Part III (Article 12 to 35) of the Constitution of India deals with the fundamental rights and Part IV-A of the constitution deals with fundamental duties.
