Both tropic and nastic movements are influenced by environmental cues. ... In tropic movements, there is directional growthof a plant, or part of a plant, inresponse to an external stimulus such as gravity or light. So the direction ofthe stimulus controls the orientation ofgrowth.

Tropic movement
it is the directional growth or movement of plant in response to an external stimuli.

Nastic movement
it is non directional movements of growth, when the movement are determined by the structure of the responding to growth of plant.
