➡️rough endoplasmic reticulum - it has ribosomes on its surface and hence is involved in protein synthesis and secretion.

1). Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum

2). Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum

◽ Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum - it  is a membranous organelle found in most eukaryotic cells. it synthesis lipids, steroid hormones etc.

◽ Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum - it is found throughout the cell but the density is higher near the nucleus and the Golgi apparatus. it involves in proteins synthesis nd secretion.
