When a particular distance is covered in a particular time interval then it is called uniform motion whereas when a particular distance is not covered in a particular time interval then it is called non-uniform motion.

In the state of uniform motion the body covers the equal distance in equal time. In the non-uniform motion, the body covers unequal distances in the given time period or at the same time.

In the uniform motion, the body has steady speed while moving in a straight line whereas in non-uniform motion the body moves with the variable speed I a straight line.
