When does short circuiting take place? What happens if short circuiting takes place in an electric circuit?
Answer: Short circuiting happens when the live and neutral wires of a domestic circuit come in contact accidently. As a result of short circuit, the resistance of the circuit decreases to a very small value and the current increases enormously .It results in heating up of the fuse wire and breaking up of the circuit .It may also cause fire.
